  • Why is Malwarebytes Endpoint Security (an on-premises solution) being discontinued?

    Malware attacks are increasingly complex. To help us continue delivering the best protection for you and your business, we’ve made the decision to focus our engineering and support resources on products best suited to fight these sophisticated attacks. To that end, we discontinued Malwarebytes Endpoint Security on August 4, 2021.

  • What does “discontinued” mean for Malwarebytes Endpoint Security?

    As of August 4, 2021, Malwarebytes Endpoint Security will no longer receive software or protection updates. Our Support Team will provide limited support on the product and will provide best practices on migration to other Malwarebytes products. Customers will no longer be able to purchase the product or renew an existing subscription. Your existing subscription will be replaced by a subscription for our more advanced Malwarebytes for Teams.

  • When will Malwarebytes Endpoint Security be discontinued?

    As of August 4, 2021, Malwarebytes Endpoint Security will no longer receive updates, maintenance, or patches. Our Support Team will provide limited support for the product. Customers will no longer be able to purchase the product or renew an existing subscription. Your existing subscription will be replaced by a subscription for our more advanced Malwarebytes for Teams, however, you will need to manually migrate your protected devices using our simple tool.   • What promotion is Malwarebytes offering?

    Malwarebytes is allowing you to upgrade to Malwarebytes for Teams at no additional cost, for the remainder of your subscription. We will also offer you your first renewal for Malwarebytes for Teams at the same price as your current Malwarebytes Endpoint Security subscription.

  • When I switch to Malwarebytes for Teams, how will you help me?

    Malwarebytes is allowing you to upgrade to Malwarebytes for Teams at no additional cost, for the remainder of your subscription. You can also renew the following year at the same price. Future renewals are not guaranteed the same price. We also provide free deployment tools that make it quick and easy for you to automatically migrate to Malwarebytes for Teams. Phone, email and chat support will be available if you have questions about the migration process. The Malwarebytes Academy has training videos to help you with the migration and will be made available to you at no additional cost. See article

  • What tools are available to help me migrate?

    We also provide a free deployment tool that makes it quick and easy to upgrade to Malwarebytes for Teams. For Windows devices, the Malwarebytes Support Tool will automatically remove Malwarebytes Endpoint Security and install Malwarebytes for Teams. All you need is your license key to upgrade, which you can find in your original notification email or on your My Account page. During installation, all setting configurations will be reset to default. Mac, Android and Chrome OS devices cannot be upgraded using this tool. See article

  • Will Malwarebytes for Teams protect my Mac, Android and Chromebook devices?

    Yes, and you won’t need to migrate these devices or take any other action. Your existing Malwarebytes Endpoint Security includes Mac, Android and Chromebook protection. Since you’ll use the same license key when upgrading to Malwarebytes for Teams, the protection will automatically carry over to your new protection.

  • Does my upgrade include server protection?

  • Do I need to manually migrate my devices to Malwarebytes for Teams?

    Yes, you will need to migrate all of your protected devices. We provide tools to make this migration simple. See article on Windows migration

  • Can I continue using my Malwarebytes Endpoint Security product once it is discontinued?

    While you can continue using Malwarebytes Endpoint Security for the rest of your term, please note that this product will no longer be supported or updated. This puts you at serious risk, as you will not have security against emerging threats. As of August 4, 2021, there will be no updates, maintenance, or patches. Customer support is limited to basic support, such as answering basic product usage questions. We recommend that you make an informed decision on how you want to proceed.

  • What if my subscription extends beyond the August 4, 2021 date?

    While you can continue using Malwarebytes for Endpoint Security for the rest of your subscription term, we will also provide a free upgrade to Malwarebytes for Teams for the remainder of your contract. You will also enjoy the same contract price for your first renewal. No action is needed on your end to receive these pricing benefits.

However, after August 4, 2021, Malwarebytes Endpoint Security will no longer receive software or protection updates and you’ll receive limited customer support. We recommend that you make an informed decision on how you want to proceed. If you upgrade to Malwarebytes for Teams, you’ll incur no additional fees for the existing number of seats and your remaining subscription period. At the end of your current subscription, you can renew your Malwarebytes for Teams subscription at the same price for one year. The price for future renewals is subject to change, but we will always send you a notification email in advance.
