PUP.PCVARK is Malwarebytes’ generic detection name for a family of so-called “system optimizers” or “junk-cleaners” targeting MacOS systems.

PUP.PCVARK comes in many forms, but the majority are so-called system optimizers that try to convince users that their system has problems which their software can solve. But only if you buy the software. PUP.PCVARK is usually installed by the users themselves under these false pretences.
