Exploit.DEPEnforcement is Malwarebytes’ detection name for an exploit blocked with the DEPEnforcement technique which prevents data execution for processes that do not have DEP enabled by default.

Technique

Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a system-level memory protection feature that is built into the Windows operating system. It monitors processes so they don’t execute code in certain areas in the computer’s memory which aren’t intended to have code running in them.

Protection

Malwarebytes extends the default DEP protection with Exploit.DEPEnforcement and displays the warning Exploit blocked by DEP Enforcement
